His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, attended the final day of the seventh edition of the UAE SWAT Challenge, held at the Al Ruwayyah Training Ground in Dubai.

During his visit, His Highness praised the high level of performance shown by all participating teams, noting their strong discipline, teamwork, and professional skills. He also commended Dubai Police for their excellent organisation of the event, highlighting that the championship reflects Dubai’s and the UAE’s ability to successfully host international events to the highest standards.

His Highness stressed the importance of such challenges in preparing specialised teams to act quickly, make the right decisions in difficult situations, and work together effectively. He added that the impressive results achieved by the teams demonstrate the value of continuous training and development, expressing his confidence in the event’s future growth.

His Excellency Lieutenant General Abdulla Khalifa Al Marri, Commander-in-Chief of Dubai Police, accompanied His Highness during the visit.

His Highness watched the final competitions, including the Obstacle Challenge, and met with the leaders of international and women’s teams. He welcomed them to Dubai and praised the event’s organisation and its role in strengthening cooperation and knowledge exchange among police forces from different countries.

This year’s UAE SWAT Challenge brought together 109 teams from tactical and special police units representing 48 countries from around the world. The event attracted senior police officers and team leaders from six continents, further confirming the UAE’s growing position as a global centre for major security and tactical events.

The championship included five main competitions: the Assault Challenge, Hostage Rescue, Officer Rescue, the Tower Challenge, and the Obstacle Challenge. These events simulated real-life situations that required speed, accuracy, physical strength, and teamwork, helping to enhance operational readiness and practical skills.

Over the years, the UAE SWAT Challenge has become more than just a competition. It now serves as an international platform where security professionals share experiences, learn from each other, and explore the latest techniques and technologies in rapid response and crisis management.
