BlueFive Capital has announced the launch of BlueFive Leasing, one of the first dedicated aircraft leasing asset management platforms in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) region. This step marks an important development in the region’s aviation finance sector. The new platform will operate from the company’s offices in Muscat, Oman.
BlueFive Leasing aims to benefit from the strong growth of air travel across the Middle East, Asia, and Africa. The platform will focus on leasing both narrow-body and wide-body aircraft of different ages to a wide range of leading airlines around the world. Through this initiative, BlueFive seeks to provide reliable aviation financing from the GCC, offering flexible leasing solutions to airlines while delivering attractive, well-managed returns for its investment partners.
The platform has been established through a strategic partnership between BlueFive Capital and one of Oman’s sovereign institutions. Alongside its launch, BlueFive Leasing will begin fundraising for its first investment vehicle, BlueFive Wings Fund I, with a target of raising more than $1 billion to invest in commercial aircraft assets.
Commenting on the launch, Hazem Ben-Gacem, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of BlueFive Capital, said: “BlueFive Leasing represents a key step in expanding the region’s investment capabilities and strengthening its role in the global aviation industry. With our strong financial position and experienced team, we are well placed to manage market cycles and capture opportunities in this fast-growing sector.”
The launch comes six months after BlueFive Capital opened its office in Muscat, reflecting Oman’s growing role as a hub for innovative investment platforms that support local portfolios and attract international capital.
