In a game-changing move, The Walt Disney Company has partnered with Miral to build its first-ever theme park in the Middle East, Disneyland Abu Dhabi, located on Yas Island. The announcement is part of Disney’s broader $60 billion investment in its Parks and Resorts division over the next decade.
Miral will fully finance and operate the park, with Disney offering creative oversight and Imagineering expertise. Set to open in 7 years, the park will feature climate-controlled environments to ensure year-round enjoyment, along with immersive attractions blending Disney’s iconic storytelling with Emirati cultural elements.
The new park will complement existing attractions on Yas Island, including Ferrari World and Warner Bros. World, and is expected to significantly enhance tourism in Abu Dhabi. Bob Iger, Disney CEO, highlighted the fusion of Disney’s magic with local culture, promising a truly unique experience for visitors.
