Dubai Crown Prince Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum recently met with Ruth Porat, President and Chief Investment Officer of Alphabet and Google, to explore deepening collaboration between Dubai and the tech giant. The meeting, held at Google’s offices in Dubai, focused on aligning efforts to accelerate digital transformation and AI adoption across the UAE. 
Sheikh Hamdan emphasized Dubai’s commitment to becoming a global hub for future industries, highlighting the Dubai Economic Agenda D33, which aims to generate AED 100 billion annually through digital initiatives over the next decade. Central to this vision is Google’s $15 million AI Opportunity Initiative—the company’s largest AI investment in the MENA region—which aims to equip 500,000 individuals with AI skills over two years . 
This strategic partnership underscores Dubai’s ambition to lead in digital innovation, foster a knowledge-based economy, and create scalable, human-centric tech solutions that benefit the wider region.
