G42 has announced Stargate UAE, a cutting-edge AI compute cluster being developed in partnership with global tech leaders including OpenAI, Oracle, Nvidia, SoftBank, and Cisco. Positioned within the newly launched UAE–US AI Campus, the initiative is set to become one of the world’s most powerful AI infrastructure hubs outside the United States.
The first phase—deploying 200 megawatts—is slated for a 2026 launch. Once complete, the full 1-gigawatt cluster will drive innovation across critical sectors such as healthcare, finance, energy, and mobility.
A joint operation between G42, OpenAI, and Oracle, Stargate UAE will also benefit from Cisco’s AI-ready secure networking technologies and Nvidia’s state-of-the-art Grace Blackwell GB300 servers—the company’s most powerful AI system to date.
Oracle Chairman Larry Ellison emphasized the platform’s significance, stating it will allow every UAE government body and business to access the world’s leading AI models securely.
Part of a larger UAE–US AI collaboration announced during former President Donald Trump’s recent visit to Abu Dhabi, the campus spans 10 square miles and will be powered by a blend of nuclear, solar, and gas energy. The UAE also committed to investing in similar-scale data centers in the US as part of the deal.
The project marks a landmark alliance between Abu Dhabi, Silicon Valley, and Tokyo—made possible after the Trump administration rolled back previous export restrictions on AI chips, clearing the way for deeper technological cooperation. A joint working group will ensure adherence to US national security standards.
