Salik Company PJSC, Dubai’s exclusive toll gate operator, has officially been added to the MSCI UAE Index, as confirmed by MSCI’s latest review on 13 May 2025. The inclusion is a significant achievement, positioning Salik among the region’s most prominent publicly listed firms and enhancing its visibility to global institutional investors focused on Emerging Markets.
The MSCI UAE Index, a component of the broader MSCI EEMEA Index, tracks the performance of large and mid-cap equities in the UAE. Inclusion in this benchmark index typically enhances a company’s share liquidity and attracts increased interest from regional and international funds, including index-tracking and Emerging Markets-focused investors.
Salik’s entry into the Index follows the successful execution of its revised corporate strategy rolled out in 2024. Notable developments include the launch of two new toll gates in Dubai—bringing the total to ten—and the implementation of dynamic pricing aimed at boosting toll revenue. Beyond core tolling, Salik is also growing its ancillary revenue streams through strategic partnerships, including collaborations with Emaar Malls and Parkonic for parking solutions, and an innovative insurance offering developed with Liva, a leading multi-line insurer in the GCC.
Salik met all MSCI requirements related to market capitalization, liquidity, and free float—reflecting the company’s solid financial foundation and appeal to a diverse investor base.
Commenting on the milestone, Ibrahim Sultan Al Haddad, CEO of Salik, stated:
“Being included in the MSCI UAE Index reinforces Salik’s position as a trusted and high-performing investment. This milestone reflects the strength of our strategy, business model, and financial results since our listing on the Dubai Financial Market. We remain committed to delivering sustainable mobility solutions and long-term value to our shareholders.”
MSCI’s index changes, including Salik’s inclusion, will take effect on 2 June 2025
