Following the approval of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defence, and Chairman of The Executive Council of Dubai, has announced a series of high-level appointments across several major government departments.
Dr. Alawi Alsheikh Ali has been named the new Director General of the Dubai Health Authority (DHA), taking over from Awad Seghayer Al Ketbi, who was commended for his significant contributions to the healthcare system in Dubai.
Eng. Marwan bin Ghalita has been confirmed as Director General of Dubai Municipality after serving in an interim capacity, reflecting the entity’s pivotal role in sustainable urban development and enhancing quality of life in the emirate.
Omar Bushahab has been appointed as Director General of the Dubai Land Department and Chairman of the Board of the Mohammed Bin Rashid Housing Establishment. Additionally, Mohammed Al Shehhi has been named Acting CEO of the Mohammed Bin Rashid Housing Establishment.
In the security sector, Major General Harib Mohammed Al Shamsi has been appointed Deputy Commander-in-Chief of Dubai Police for Criminal Affairs, while Major General Ahmed Zaal Al Muhairi has been named Deputy Commander-in-Chief for Administrative Affairs.
