In a renewed push to strengthen bilateral ties, the Abu Dhabi Fund for Development (ADFD) joined a senior UAE delegation on a three-day visit to Lebanon, signaling a strong commitment to economic collaboration and sustainable development.
The visit followed recent talks in Abu Dhabi between UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Lebanese President Joseph Aoun, where both sides explored new avenues for cooperation across key sectors.
ADFD officials met with Lebanese leaders, including Prime Minister Dr. Nawaf Salam, ministers, and heads of national institutions, to assess opportunities for joint development projects in finance, energy, education, health, and infrastructure. A notable stop included discussions with the Banque de l’Habitat on affordable housing initiatives.
The UAE’s Knowledge Exchange Office also held a forum in Beirut, sharing best practices in government excellence.
Mohamed Saif Al Suwaidi, ADFD’s Director-General, reaffirmed the UAE’s long-standing support for Lebanon’s recovery and growth, with upcoming meetings in Abu Dhabi planned to advance project implementation and strategic cooperation.
