Ahead of Eid Al-Adha, UAE President Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan has directed the release of 956 inmates from correctional institutions across the UAE, while also covering the financial obligations linked to their sentences.
The initiative reflects the UAE leadership’s continued focus on compassion, forgiveness, and social cohesion, offering inmates an opportunity to reunite with their families and begin a new chapter ahead of the holiday.
The humanitarian gesture highlights the country’s broader commitment to strengthening family stability and supporting community values through initiatives that encourage rehabilitation and reintegration into society.
The move comes as part of the UAE’s longstanding tradition of issuing pardons during important national and religious occasions, reinforcing the nation’s emphasis on tolerance, humanity, and social solidarity.
