Dr. Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi, representing President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, led a UAE delegation to the CEO Forum Africa in Kigali, Rwanda. The delegation included senior government officials and members of the UAE business community, reflecting the country’s strong engagement with African markets.
The Africa CEO Forum gathered more than 2,800 business leaders, investors, and policymakers from around the world to discuss strategies for advancing the continent’s economic development and global integration.
In his address, Al Zeyoudi reaffirmed the UAE’s commitment to supporting Africa’s long-term growth, highlighting key priorities such as logistics, infrastructure, manufacturing, and digital transformation. He stressed the importance of cross-border cooperation and public-private partnerships in driving innovation, knowledge exchange, and sustainable economic development.
During his visit, he held bilateral meetings with senior officials from Rwanda, Botswana, and Nigeria, focusing on trade cooperation and investment opportunities. He also participated in a roundtable with African business leaders, addressing the continent’s role in global supply chains and its ambitions to rebalance international trade relations.
The UAE continues to strengthen its economic partnership with Africa, with non-oil trade exceeding US$160.4 billion in 2025, alongside more than US$110 billion in cumulative investment since 2019. Recent CEPAs with several African nations further reinforce this growing economic alignment.
