The UAE has officially resumed full air traffic operations, marking a return to normalcy following recent regional tensions.

In a statement released via the state news agency, the General Civil Aviation Authority confirmed that all temporary precautionary measures—introduced amid the escalation of conflict involving Iran—have now been lifted. The decision follows a comprehensive review of both operational readiness and security conditions, carried out in coordination with relevant authorities.

Despite the resumption, authorities emphasized that real-time monitoring systems remain fully active to ensure the highest safety standards across the aviation sector.

Airspace restrictions had been implemented after drone and missile threats emerged earlier this year, with key hubs including Dubai International Airport and Zayed International Airport previously affected. However, stability has gradually returned since a conditional ceasefire took effect in early April, with no further incidents reported.

The recovery is already reflected in airline operations. Major carriers are steadily scaling up, with capacity levels approaching pre-conflict figures. While some international airlines remain cautious, the broader trend indicates growing confidence in the region’s aviation landscape.

This development signals a strong rebound for Gulf travel and reinforces the UAE’s position as a leading global aviation hub.
