Emirates has officially broken ground on a massive AED 5 billion aviation engineering complex at Dubai South, marking a major milestone in the emirate’s long-term aviation and infrastructure expansion plans.
The new facility is expected to become one of the region’s largest and most advanced aviation engineering hubs, supporting aircraft maintenance, repair, and overhaul operations for Emirates’ growing global fleet. The project aligns with Dubai’s broader vision of strengthening its position as a leading global aviation and logistics center.
Located in Dubai South near Al Maktoum International Airport, the complex will feature cutting-edge technologies, expanded hangar capacity, and specialized engineering services designed to enhance operational efficiency and support future fleet growth.
The development is also expected to create new employment opportunities and further reinforce Dubai’s status as a strategic hub for global aviation innovation. Emirates continues to invest heavily in infrastructure and technology as passenger demand and international travel continue to rise across key global markets.
