Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan strongly condemned the targeting of civilian infrastructure and facilities across the region, describing such attacks as a serious violation of international law and a dangerous escalation that threatens regional stability.
In an official statement, Sheikh Abdullah stressed that civilian sites including schools, hospitals, universities, energy facilities, desalination plants, transportation hubs, and residential areas must never become targets during conflicts. He warned that attacks on critical infrastructure not only endanger civilian lives but also risk disrupting global supply chains and the international economy.
The UAE reaffirmed its call for the immediate protection of civilians and civilian infrastructure, while urging all parties to prioritize de-escalation and regional security. Sheikh Abdullah emphasized that targeting civilian facilities is a “red line” that cannot be justified under any circumstances.
The statement comes amid growing regional tensions and renewed international concern over attacks affecting critical infrastructure and civilian areas across the Middle East.
