Since stepping into her role in 2021, Eman ElGamal has spent the past five years driving and refining the corporate communications strategy of Visa Inc. across North Africa, the Levant, and Pakistan (NALP), positioning the company strongly within a dynamic and fast-evolving region.
With more than 14 years of experience in corporate communications, public relations, and brand building, ElGamal has brought a strategic, narrative-driven approach to her role. Her work centers on the belief that communications serve as the voice of an organization—bridging the gap between brands and their stakeholders through clear, consistent, and impactful messaging.
Over the past five years, she has led integrated communications efforts that have strengthened Visa’s brand presence and deepened engagement with key audiences. Her approach combines storytelling with a strong understanding of market dynamics, enabling the company to communicate effectively across diverse markets.
ElGamal’s leadership extends beyond traditional communications. Her expertise in sustainability, project management, and public speaking has contributed to a more holistic and forward-looking communications function—one that aligns closely with broader business objectives.
Prior to joining Visa, ElGamal served as Head of Corporate Communications at Arab African International Bank, where she played a key role in shaping the bank’s corporate narrative and enhancing its market positioning. This experience laid a solid foundation for her current regional leadership role.
She holds an academic background in marketing, advertising, public relations, and sustainability from leading institutions, including the The American University in Cairo and the Chartered Institute of Public Relations in the United Kingdom.
Five years into her tenure, ElGamal continues to play a pivotal role in advancing Visa’s communications agenda, reinforcing its reputation, and supporting its growth ambitions across the NALP region.
