UAE Announces Three Days of Free Parking for Eid Al Fitr 2026

Authorities in the United Arab Emirates have announced that public parking will be free for three days during the upcoming Eid al‑Fitr holiday, offering residents and visitors greater convenience during the festive period.

According to Dubai Roads and Transport Authority (RTA), parking fees across Dubai will be waived from the first day of Eid until the end of the third day of the holiday, with the exemption applying to all public parking zones except multi-storey parking facilities. Regular parking charges will resume from the fourth day of Eid.

The move is part of the government’s annual measures to ease travel and mobility during the holiday, when shopping centres, tourist destinations and entertainment venues typically see higher visitor numbers.

Transport authorities also announced revised operating hours for public transport services during the Eid break, including the Dubai Metro, tram and bus networks, to accommodate increased passenger demand throughout the celebrations.

Eid Al Fitr marks the end of the holy month of Ramadan and is one of the most significant holidays in the Islamic calendar. The exact start of the holiday will depend on the official sighting of the crescent moon, with Eid in 2026 expected around 19 or 20 March.

The initiative reflects ongoing efforts by UAE authorities to enhance mobility and improve the holiday experience for residents and tourists during one of the region’s busiest festive periods.
