GCC Business Hub- WAM: UAE President Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan received Nikos Christodoulides during an official working visit to the UAE, where both leaders discussed strengthening bilateral relations across key strategic sectors.
The discussions focused on advancing the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership between the two countries, with particular emphasis on expanding cooperation in areas such as trade, investment, economy, technology, renewable energy, education, culture, and tourism. Both sides highlighted the importance of deepening collaboration to support long-term sustainable development and mutual prosperity.
The two leaders reaffirmed their shared commitment to further developing ties in a way that benefits both nations and contributes to broader regional and global growth.
The meeting also addressed Cyprus’s current presidency of the Council of the European Union and its role in enhancing cooperation between the UAE and the EU.
On regional developments, both sides reviewed the latest situation in the Middle East and its impact on security and stability. The Cypriot President also reiterated Cyprus’s condemnation of recent attacks targeting civilians and infrastructure in the UAE and the wider region, describing them as violations of international law and threats to regional peace.
The meeting was attended by senior officials, including Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Tahnoun Al Nahyan, along with other ministers and representatives.
